Founded in 2024 by Jennifer Casimir, an artist based between Montreal, Canada, and Andorra, Cardinal emerged from a deep desire to explore transformation through movement.

After experiencing an injurie that reshaped her practice, she developed a distinct movement language, blending the raw power of breaking with the sensitivity and inner awareness drawn from Qigong.

Cardinal brings together artists who see movement as a source of strength, healing, and connection. Our work draws from breaking’s physical intensity while embracing nuance, subtlety, and presence.

We believe in dance as a compass, a way to navigate inner landscapes, challenge limits, and reconnect with what grounds and elevates us. 

Inspired by the four cardinal points, the name reflects our commitment to forward motion, to orientation through movement, and to staying rooted while reaching outward.
